Biographical Sketch
Mary Ann Thomas is the Program Director for the University of Louisiana Monroe's Speech-Language Pathology programs. She maintains licensure and certification as a speech-language pathologist. She is an academic instructor of Seminar in the Profession and a clinical instructor in the on-campus clinic which serves members of the community across the life span with various communication disorders. Before teaching at the university level, she was employed as a speech-language pathologist in skilled nursing facilities treating patients with various neurologically-based communication disorders, such as those with deficits in cognition and language. She was also a speech-language pathologist in a K-6 school in the local school district where she treated children with various communication disorders.
